Agnes Scott College cares deeply about the health and safety of everyone on our campus, as well as the many Agnes Scott students abroad. Following the latest developments in the global spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and the related public health guidelines, Agnes Scott has activated its current Communicable Disease Policy and Crisis Response Plan. The Crisis Response Team has been meeting to review our protocol in the event of a pandemic outbreak.

The President’s Cabinet has also been meeting with representatives from the Center for Global Learning to evaluate and make decisions regarding institutional travel. On March 1, 2020, the CDC released In response to the CDC recommendation to “consider postponing or canceling upcoming student foreign exchange programs,” Agnes Scott has postponed all scheduled Journeys Global Immersion experiences. The Center for Global Learning is monitoring all study abroad locations and has been in contact with the students abroad. We remain deeply committed to providing all students with global learning and will update students at a later date.

Agnes Scott will continue to monitor the situation and follow the recommendations of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Georgia Department of Public Health to ensure the health and safety of our community.
